LEZDAMA – “Let’s Dama” 2

The 2nd Annual Let’s Dama event in Long Beach, CA was an amazing event. It was put on by local LA crew; LEZDAMA.
Over 100 people attended the day long event as did sponsored players and vendors from several different companies.

Many sponsored players that attended the event showed up with some fantastic giveaways. One of which was one of a kind REZ Kendama that went to Charity Cristobal.

We showed our support with Colin Sander, Derek Astin, Haley Bishoff & Dylan Westmoreland all in attendance.

Other sponsored players included EJ Williams from RWB, Steph Lussier & Kristian Aynedter of Grain Theory, Chelsea Perez & Alex Hirota for Sweets Kendamas and Molly Harney from DWI plus many more.

The winner of the Advanced Open Divison was local Emmy Evans. Reppin’ hard for the all the lady shredders out there. In 2nd and 3rd were Tribe Members Derek Astin and Dylan Westmorland

For the intermediate ladders we had Kevin Luong taking 1st . Gabe Romo taking 2nd . Parker Smith taking 3rd

For the Beginner Ladders they had Dylan Trast taking 1st  @btampu taking 2nd taking 3rd @mgdama

Haley Bishoff described the event as “an incredible day for the progression of female Kendama. The event was put on by all girls and the winner of the open division was a young female who actually won the beginner bracket at last years’ Lets Dama. Seeing how female Kendama has evolved makes me psyched as ever and I’m very happy I can be apart of it.”

LACMA lights tuesday session – Farewell to Kristian

Kendama USA gives you a behind-the-scenes look at the weekly session in Los Angeles, CA at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Their outdoor sculpture ‘Urban Light’ is a meeting place for friends, tourists, dancers, couples, jugglers, and now Kendama Players on Tuesday nights from 8-10 PM.

In our second LACMA lights video, Kristian Aynedter is leaving to move back to Lake Tahoe, and friends say goodbye and lace some tricks with him.

Sesh @ The Lights #2 With Colin Sander.

As the SoCal kendama scene grows, Kendama USA wanted to show it’s support by hosting a grassroots event where people can meet fellow players, learn new tricks, and expose kendama to those who might not see it otherwise.

Colin Sander, Kristian Aynedter, and Micah Marsh host the ‘Sesh @ The Lights’… a jam every 1st and 3rd tuesday of the month from 8-10 pm at the public-space sculpture ‘Urban Light’ at the LACMA in Los Angeles.  

Bring some friends, make a trip to jam, Enjoy some mini games, prizes, and more. ** WARNING sesh may not actually end at 10pm : )

Colin Sander Unboxing Video.

Hang with Colin Sander, Kristian Aynedter, and Micah Marsh in the MMAK apartment for a few minutes while they give you a look at what one of Colin’s sponsorship boxes holds. We open Ozora, TK, Krom, Sunrise, and Kendama USA Kaizen product and talk about the subtle differences between each and the things we like about them.

After mixing and matching tamas and kens to find that perfect pair & weight… a couple of tricks are laced to break em in. We love seeing all of the unboxing videos you guys do so thought we would shoot one from this side! Thanks for all the support and keep shredding.
