Our 1st Player Spotlight of 2018 is on Caleb Rush (slayleb_) in Greenville SC.
“I’m 13 years old, I live in Greenville SC, and I’ve been playing Kendama for about three years. The main reason that I love playing Kendama is mainly all of the amazing people I get to meet and talk to. There’s really no scene here in SC so getting to go to jams in GA is always an amazing experience. I probably wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for all the amazing people I’ve met through Kendama. (Shoutout Ryan Plourd, Charles Rager, Nick Drummer, Zach Porter, Corey Snipes, C Fraser, & Palmer) These people have always inspired me to keep doing what I love.”
Tribe member Zach Porter & Focus member Austin Ring spent the 4th of July relaxing at Jones Gap State Park in South Carolina. They shot this mini edit during their travels and shared it with us. Check it out!
Who is Zach Porter? Zach porter is one of the first KUSA Tribe members, chosen by Pro player Alex Smith. He has a unique style and has been a positive force in the Kendama community for several years. His crew, GVK hails from the southeastern US and is known for creating mind blowing edits and have won several contests over the years.
Check out this new GVK edit Zach Porter (Tribe) and Austin Ring (Focus) made over the weekend. GVK is a group Zach & Austin started with friends in Greenville, SC after picking up a Kendama, who’s roots are still strong today. #GVKALLDAY
